Sohan Qadri abandoned figuration at the start of his career in favour of abstraction. After an initial tryst with modernist abstraction, he turned to tantra-derived art, in consonance with his identity as a practicing spiritualist and yogi. His explorations were largely carried out in vivid colours with an occasional nod to a more muted palette, as in this Untitled one. The midnight blue and white evoke a European winter landscape with the burst of pigment symbolising life sprouting at the end of the long season of snows.
