The rapidity of the city’s growth given how humans have populated the earth with material comforts, thus, robbing the planet of its natural resources and contributing to global warming, has been the mainstay of Ved Nayar’s art. This Untitled drawing makes use of the classic tropes that Nayar often employs in his work to make his point. The female figures seem to pose with confidence, unfazed by everything around them. One of them sports a bindi while none of them is clothed- she stands covering herself, as another one of them looks in her direction.
