Curiously, the two figures in red in this Untitled work by Ved Nayar stand on their respective pedestals while on the third there is an animal that when woken up might just threaten them. There are bats, some of them hanging upside down, others clinging to another surface. The two figures are in conversation and one of them is shown with a wound on his eyebrow. The setting of the painting is a jungle, in stark contrast to the humdrum of city life and the brands’ motifs that usually populate Nayar’s paintings.
