The motifs of toy planes, the draped curtains and blue skies, along with the trademark figures seen in Ved Nayar’s art, are all elements pointing to a lounge area in the airport or of two people meeting on a plane. On one of the figures’ limbs we see a row of cars, perhaps suggesting the opulence and the wealth that the figure has accumulated compared to the other who is painted in green. The work signifies how material disparity between individuals is, perhaps, the greatest marker of their relationship.
