Human Forms teases the viewer with its focal strategy, points of construction, and its overall mood. The figures melting into each other are in an embrace, the contours of the two figures merging into each other, completely unseparated. This is the male-female energy explored by Laxman Pai, co-joined and completely without inhibition. Another figure looks straight at the viewer—initially disconnected with the yin-yang energy that Pai displays, it is this face in green-blue hues that balances the female figure’s feet at an angle.
