The story goes that Luqman was once sleeping under a tree when an angel appeared and told him that Allah wanted to bestow one of the two gifts on him: wisdom or consecration as king. Luqman chose the former and became a legend in the Islamic world, stories of whose wisdom abound in Arabic, Persian and Turkish literature. Jai Zharotia, the master of wit and pithy subjectivity, invokes the wisdom of Luqman to save the modern world that is engrossed in wiping itself out, evident in the fire of bullets from fighter jets above in this work.
