Exploration of the duality of existence was the most common trope in Jai Zharotia’s art, manifesting itself in various ways. The objective of all such paintings, however, remained the same—to make the subject come face-to-face with its own duality and unravel the mystery of its own existence, as is the case with the taurus in this acrylic work. In an abstract background tending to be sombre, a seemingly well-built bull is confronted by a mask lying on the ground, which as can be deduced, is a tender reflection of the macho animal that is standing.
