Vriksha, one of the most important—and quite possibly, the longest running—series in S. G. Vasudev’s artistic career, evolved significantly after the death of his artist wife, Arnawaz. The tree of life series, Vriksha, was a construction of concepts of fertility, procreation and sexuality. Impacted by his own understanding of the past, especially through myths and legends, this work is almost phallic in its assembly. The texture is similar to other works of the series though there is shift in colour from brown to a radiant green.
