Definitely one of his more remarkable paintings, not just in terms of the scale but also in its execution, M. Suriyamoorthy, in one of his earliest works, shows his artistic skill and command over line and colour. In a tightly knit composition, which reveals the richness of the South Indian temples, deities, animals, motifs, all elements intertwined into one another, yet standing apart through the bold and clean lines that demarcate them, this Untitled painting allows us to appreciate the intricacies that build up the monumental painting.
