Flowers, scents, letters… all these have the power to evoke most dormant of memories in human beings, giving them wings and even suffusing them with a new life, all of which tastes like fresh spring in mouth. In this work, New Delhi-based Jagadish Dey uses the pistils of a hibiscus flower to give expression to memories of a woman, who is flying on the wings of those memories in a world of fantasy as evident from the cloud-like nebulous shapes he affords to the flower petal and the woman’s hair.
