Even fanstastic flowers have the right to go on a fantasy trip as Jagadish Dey alludes through this work. A bud, slowly getting ready to bloom into a beautiful flower in the early morning or late evening when no one is watching, dreams of a bloom much grander than the nature has ordained for it. It blooms into a bright yellow world where all things are right and to one’s liking—a trope that Dey has often used in his paintings with surrealist tones to touch on the idea of a parallel world of fantasy that all beings inhabit.
