Merged shows the remarkable control of Moti Zharotia on not just the medium of serigraph but also the flat colours that he builds up in his art. Zharotia’s art is a spiritual quest and in this work, we are urged to think of the merging stories, the points of convergence, the paths of departure of the myriad figures that entwine into one another even though they can be strictly viewed as couples. Many of Zharotia’s compositions, including this one, are gripping for their focal strategies.
