Moti Zharotia liked drawing and painting as a child and later as an adult too, but art was not something that he could have easily pursued given his middleclass family set up. He was studying to be a lawyer but found it difficult to extricate himself from art. Zharotia’s art, mostly comprising serigraphs, is a synchronisation of colour, subject and mood that he creates through it. Evident in Tarang II is his quest for spirituality and his love of colours.
