The Day of Remembrance

Moti Zharotia uses remarkable skill as an optical illusionist in creating this work, The Day of Remembrance. Depending on your gaze, on first glance it seems as though the figure is falling but just when you think that, it seems the figure is actually throwing her outstretched arms towards the skies and the rainbow, rising from the surface below. The palette in blue, diluted in various areas, is offset by the richness of the rainbow colours that Zharotia creates.
