Hiranmoy Roychaudhuri belongs to the group of artists who rejoiced in celebrating Indian heritage and culture in art. One of the foremost sculptors of India, a significant portion of his artistic practice was devoted to printmaking. The complex techniques of the genre didn’t deter him, and he created imposing visuals, particularly in the figurative genre.
