Viscosity, ink, graphite and graphics on handmade paper
Rm. Palaniappan, through his prints, hoped to explore the mysteries as well as mankind’s psychological response to the universe, its vastness, to the numerous celestial bodies, and other elements of space. By mapping these explorations on paper, Palaniappan’s art gains considerable significance given the growing interest in the subject of space science. What are the symbols? What lies beyond the mere mappings? Where does our curiosity emerge and where will it end? Are we ready for answers? These are questions to probe while viewing the artist’s work.
