Remembered for the diversity of subjects and themes that he chose to render in the medium of watercolour, Biswanath Mukerji’s growing up years weren’t easy, especially given that he had to leave home to pursue his dreams of becoming an artist. His creations are vivid, pausing on colour, form, features, and a synergy between them. The artist, through Self & Around, seems to create an insight into his own life, giving a glimpse of his own state of mind to the viewers.
