Rajendra Dhawan’s works have been described by scholars, critics and his admirers as spiritual, timeless and lyrical for the mysticism they evoke in the eyes of the beholder. A sombre palette notwithstanding, they are a picture of calm, with no hint of any storm, upheaval or turbulence. It is this metaphysical aspect of his works, as in this Untitled oil on canvas, that draws a viewer to contemplate.
