Legions of New Delhi printmakers have Jagmohan Chopra to thank for his indefatigable zeal in promoting the medium against most odds. He overcame shortages of material and facilities by setting up, and encouraging students and colleagues to use the printmaking facilities in his living room. He develops in Composition a brilliant synergy of colour, form, and texture—all the elements coming alive through the complex technique in intaglio. The notion that technique was king is obvious in this colour intaglio print.
