Acrylic, conté and charcoal on dyed paper pulp cast
Dattatraya Apte, an accomplished painter and printmaker, trained at M. S. University, Baroda, and Glasgow School of Art, Scotland, as a Charles Wallace India Trust awardee. Known for his work as a printmaker, he brings to his art a personalised visual idiom, a cohesiveness wherein various mediums and techniques build up to create a vivid expression. Growing up in a family that appreciated art, Apte stresses on the idea of art as an expression of daily life and our reactions to it.
