Paramjeet Singh has excelled as a silk-screen printmaker who has used several variations and gradations of colour in the same print achieved without a blemish. It is the technique that matters more to him than his subject, often choosing simple landscapes to tell a story through flat colours. Here, he recreates the outdoors suggested by hillocks arranged in different colours to provide a perspective of distance. A heron nests amidst some shrubs, while a woman in a saree tends to her garden in the foreground.
