When Jeram Patel battled ill-health, his work reflected his suffering as well as his experiences in dealing with it. These works pulsate with a rhythm but reveal painful points—a helpless figure, seen in this Untitled work, is lying in pain as its energy is, literally, sucked out from the bulbous, black hurricane-like form. A religious site appears in the distance, while close to the figure appear what seem to be mushroom-like tumours that attack and weaken the body.
