Akbar Padamsee strongly believed that for artists to create meaningful art, they had to be well acquainted with philosophy and the other arts. Not one to shy away from trying newer mediums, Padamsee brings in this Untitled work, a sense of experimentation even as he continues to divide the visual plane, those familiar grids that became ‘metascapes’, which no other artist was able to replicate. Padamsee’s surreal imagery—the genre fascinated the artist—makes this work absorbing, drawing the immediate attention of the viewer.
