My Garden appears like a bird’s eye-view of a landscape, possibly a residential one, perhaps even Devayani Krishna’s very own bower. The aquamarine tones are meant to accentuate its lushness, while the lines that appear like terrestrial layers probably represent the tops of trees and beds of flowers as seen from some point high up. The gradations in colour would be a challenge for any printmaker and are a triumph for Krishna.
