This is a seminal work in Devayani Krishna’s exploration of spirituality through abstraction. Here, she depicts the most important concept in Hinduism and Shaiva Tantra, which believes kundalini to be the latent feminine energy located at the base of spine, and which is also the force behind the divine feminine. The thick vertical line in the centre denotes the spine with various markings on it symbolising chakras and nadis that help channelise the divine energy. Enlightenment is achieved when kundalini is awakened through specific spiritual exercises—the process dexterously depicted through swift strokes symbolising energy flow and a bright light signifying enlightenment.
