Having spent her early years in thrall of Buddhist rituals and ceremonies, Devayani Krishna next found herself drawn to the idea of primal energy based on the concept of tantra. Many of Krishna’s prints from the 1970s belong to a sacred series that she developed, of which Bom! Bom! Bhole! is a part. The incantation is an evocation to Shiva as a mendicant who pursues his own path away from the materiality of the world.
