K. Laxma Goud’s work across mediums, genres, and subjects, reveals his extraordinary skill as a draughtsman, showing him as the accomplished voice of a skilled storyteller. Goud combines village nostalgia, the surreal, and the erotic, in his art, and this Untitled work is a fine example of these elements. Goats, fully-uddered and with erect penises, became Goud’s signature motif, and here, too, we see its presence among nude human figures. The artist seems to mix both, a sense of fantasy, poetry, and erotica, in this work.
