K. Laxma Goud creates here one of his many visuals that became an ode to the people of his village in Nizampur, Telangana. A well-built man, his muscular figure revealed as he carries what looks like leather or heavy cloth, thrown casually over his right shoulder, is shown in Goud’s typical treatment of strong and bold lines. Is this figure interpreted from his childhood memories or is it imagined? The surreal, libidinal language is obvious in the image.
