Bimal Dasgupta’s abstract landscapes appear almost surreal—forms that could be terrestrial, underground, underwater, or even in space. The somewhat fantastic shapes and colours don’t align with nature as we know it, but then the earth and the sea hide many secrets that the artist seems not to mind sharing with us—provided we know what we are looking for.
