Ambadas’s work is a unique combination of his ‘aesthetic vision, life experiences, plastic values and specific technique’. An artist of solitude, his works display a restless energy that has been likened to nature’s processes. The artist himself has spoken of germination as his inspiration from nature. This Untitled oil on canvas too shows a timeless suspension visually reminiscent of the womb or the cosmic void or shunya from Indian philosophy. The canvas, like many works by the artist, has no directional orientation, there seems to be no beginning or end, instead it seems as if the artist has manged to capture a bit of the cosmos on his canvas.
