Ambadas’s visual world may not possess any easily comprehensible connotation, but it is not without meaning; it arouses in the viewer several emotions and feelings and there is a perception of beauty. While most of his works have a sense of restlessness, dynamism, movement and energy, they also make the viewer look at the work with a meditative and reflective gaze. In the words of Roobina Karode, ‘These works on paper exude the feeling of an unstructured terrain, a mysterious expanse that holds many other worlds in it.
