Akkitham Narayanan’s art reflects a deep understanding of nature’s colours and moods. The vibrancy in his work is reflective of the mural tradition of Kerala. Bodies seen in geometric patterns allow the spectator to immediately get drawn to the enigma that preoccupies his work, dictated through linear configurations reinforced with colour shades and tonalities. An important adherent of the Madras Modern art movement, Narayanan utilises an innate technique in painting that he developed to create visual depth and an understanding of subjects that affected him.
