Devi Prasad Roy Chowdhury commanded a wide range of artistic mediums—from delicate jewel-like watercolours, expressionist landscapes, portraits, to sculptures. His high professional standard brought him a steady stream of private and public commissions at the height of his career. Even today, his work continues to be timeless and relevant in Indian modern art. His ability to continually reinvent himself is evident in this Untitled work that shows how the artist could be the pensive creator of darkly brooding studies of the human condition.
