The beauty of the outside world, particularly the nature, doesn’t seem to exist for the woman in The River of Dreams who is expected to live within the boundaries of managing her home, grow the vansh or generation and spend time indoors, never expected to become independent. Curiously, the elements outside, created through the partition of a screen-like object showing a pregnant woman, have flowers, a wooden toy horse, a kettle, clouds on the horizon, suggestive of the woman’s past and of a particular phase that no longer exists.
