Remains of an Ancient Building near Firoz Shah’s Cotilla, Delhi

Although substantial remains of the 14^th-century citadel of Firuz Shah still survive today, there is no trace of the buildings depicted here. Like the view of the Purana Qila this depiction stresses abandonment and decay, both in the ruined buildings and in the untended uneven land.
