This conjoined image of Shiva and Krishna, two of the most prominent deities of the Hindu pantheon, represents sectarian harmony. In this artwork, both gods are represented by their respective colours—Shiva, on the left, is painted grey while Krishna is seen on the right, painted in shades of blue and black. The division is made right through the centre, their headdresses and loincloths blending in the middle. The amalgamated deity is seen seated on a throne against a curtained backdrop.
