Though primarily a sculptor, Nagji Patel dabbled in other genres, which interestingly revealed a unique sculpturesque language as well. This Untitled work from the Eighties shows a similar stance, of the artist creating works done with tremendous grace and movement that reminds one of his sculptures. While Patel’s sculptures dipped into glimpses of his childhood memories where he identified an animal or a bird or even some unknown human figure, for that matter, this Untitled work shows similar elements, probably fragments of his lived experience.
