Shiva’s Bull

Satish Gujral depicts Nandi, the mythical guardian of Kailasa’s gates, using a series of blue and orange segments with black borders to create the animal’s form, with a prominent hump and an elongated torso. A fine texture throughout the entirety of the painted surface gives the work an aged appearance.
