Govinda Ram Mittee’s Pagoda, Calcutta

One of the few specimens of Indian architecture which the Daniells saw and drew in Calcutta was this modern Shiva temple, constructed in Chitpore, to the north of the city, by a wealthy merchant. In the foreground is the temple tank.
