Radha Charan Bagchi typified the artist who imbibed training in Western academic realism, was influenced by the Bengal School and inspired by the emerging expressionistic language in Santiniketan. The artist creates an impressive landscape in Darjeeling to show a spectacular view, which, when glimpsed even today from one of the winding roads leading up to the hill station, can be seen by visitors. This breathtakingly beautiful landscape is painted with so much care that one can meditate and experience the fresh air of Darjeeling just by viewing it.
