Trained in sculpture at M. S. University, Baroda, and the Royal College of Art, London, Dhruva Mistry is prolific in other media as well. This waterproof ink work, done when he was living in England and on the threshold of creating some of his iconic sculptures, catches two angels in what appears to be a vigorous martial dance. The rushed lines of the figures of the two ‘angels’ indicate swift movement while the brown overtone of the work depicts a setting that is more violent and less angelic as the title suggests.
