Primarily a landscape artist, Kisory Roy’s art breathes energy, a sense of vivaciousness and rhythm. In Kumaun Landscape Roy paints a compelling image of the rolling hills, lush green plants and trees, huts with sloping red roofs. It’s the perfect image of the richness of Indian hills, giving us a glimpse of the expanse. In stark white, however, he paints the breath-taking Himalayan range. The interesting element is a couple, whom we almost miss even as we delight in the detailing.
