Jelly Fish celebrates viscosity, a technique in printmaking that Krishna Reddy excelled at. The work also reminds one of Reddy’s own statement regarding his work: ‘We stand between the immense cosmos and the unfathomable universe within us. If we pause for a moment and watch these great mysteries, we are filled with awe and wonder’. As with his other works, colours are expertly treated in terms of their varying viscosity to react with the etched metal plates to result in extraordinary patterns and intricate textures.
