As an artist, though rooted in academic art, K. C. Pyne was never shy to experiment. This Untitled painting, rendered in a largely brown colour palette, becomes a fine example in the sense that it shows an image of a human figure, rendered in a unique style. The background against which the figure is seen almost reminds one of the outlines seen in stained glass paintings. Then, again, if you view the work from a distance, it appears in a quasi-cubist trope.
