In the impressive decades of his artistic practice, R. N. Pasricha painted mostly landscapes, inspired and influenced by the works of Nicholas Roerich. He, however, created his paintings from a personally evolved visual idiom, interpreting whatever he saw as a plein-air artist. It is with the same unique perspective that he painted Pangong Lake, a painting in invigorating colours of the skies and mountains along with the golden ripples of the sunlight on water. Pasricha’s landscapes, immediately calming, have a meditative, intriguing quality.
