M. K. Parandekar was among the generation of artists who came to typify the Bombay School style of painting that consisted of realistic renditions of landscapes, historical narratives and portraits tinged with self-expression that tended to romanticise the subject in a naturalistic way. Parandekar paints here a fascinating impressionistic landscape of snow-capped mountains, tall trees, fields soaked in water. He keeps the skies in an interesting tone of beige, which allows the other elements in the landscape to get highlighted further.
