If the adage ‘standing at the edge of the cliff’ needed a visual translation, M. K. Parandekar’s Untitled work would come close to interpreting it aptly. A watercolourist par excellence, Parandekar creates from a strategically focal perspective, a compelling image of a man who is surrounded by a serene landscape. In present times, it’s the sort of image that a drone camera would capture. We are left to guess whether the subject is pensive or at peace? Is he simply admiring the landscape or is he contemplating some serious issue?
