Sudhir Ranjan Khastgir has created work that stands unique and bears no affinity to any artistic movement or school. The beauty of his art lies in the artist thoroughly combining line, form, colour, texture and bringing these elements together to create an impressive body of work. Khastgir had learnt sculpture and that’s a reason why the strength of his line can be seen even in his paintings, including this Untitled work wherein the hero, a bowman, quite possibly Arjun from Mahabharata, revealing a typical archer’s stance.
