This Untitled sculpture by Sankho Chaudhuri carries the unmistakable signs of the artist’s oeuvre—the moving undulating lines, the remarkable earthiness, the boundless movement, the raw energy, a symphony reaching its crescendo. All of these elements attribute to Chaudhuri’s fresh and unique sculptural style that marked his works as being distinctive and modernist. One of the most gifted students of Ramkinkar Baij, it is to Chaudhuri’s credit that he further revitalised the visual language of his guru’s work through his art.
