The Untitled bronze sculpture in consideration here is a composition identifiable as some bird, but should be enjoyed for Sankho Chaudhuri’s control over form. A sculptor who inspired generations of students to experiment boldly, Sankho Chaudhuri himself was trained by Ramkinkar Baij, an artist-sculptor who revived the art scene with his own language of modernism. The sculpture with its undulating lines, and showing the stance of a bird taking flight, rests on a wooden pedestal, thus, recalling the works of sculptors like Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
